Fruit
Really rather uninspired fruit renditions today - sorry - I could have added shadows at the very least...

The Scribbler
A while ago Ze Frank created this fun flash app called The Scribbler. At first it seemed like just a fun toy, but I'm now thinking that it can actually be a very useful artist's tool. It can be used to get an idea of where your strengths and weaknesses are in quick sketches. I also think that the sketches it produces could be useful foundations for paintings or other larger works. Here are some quick ones I made using Pose Maniacs images as models.

Leaf cleanup
These sketches from my window are definitely a reaction to the shock of actually having a window after having spent the last 3 years or so in a windowless cell-type office. An office with a window is an incredible thing. I hope I never have to go back...

Mike and Christine
A couple of quick moleskine sketches done after dinner last night:
Here's Christine with a glass of wine after dinner - though I didn't even remotely capture her face...
Mike playing Super Mario Brothers on the Wii - again - not really his face, somehow...
